very verde smoothie

After another weekend of major cleaning and organizing – oh, and serious dust allergies! – it was time for another smoothie to cleanse the mind, body, and soul. I find the more aggressive the cleaning session, the crappy the food I eat. Which meant my meal breaks consisted of pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, and takeout Thai food. All delicious. All gut bombs. 

So let’s go very verde today!

 

makes 1

 handful of spinach

3 kiwi, super ripe, peeled, and sliced

1 banana

 

Place all your ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth.

NOTE: For a chilled smoothie, freeze your peeled & sliced kiwi for an hour before blending. 

Whoever said it ain't easy being green? Turns out, it's quite delicious!
