winter sangria

Wintertime is for hibernating, snuggling, and curling up with a drink that requires little physical exertion. While you can take the extra steps and buy dry red wine and add your own brandy and triple sec, we find that a good cheap sangria wine does the trick just fine. When you're wrapped in your honeybun's arms and sipping on this refreshing beverage, your tastebuds won't know the difference.

1 can ginger ale

1 bottle sangria wine

2 c fresh cranberries

1 orange, sliced

1 lemon, sliced

1 lime, sliced

mint sprigs

sugar + cinnamon, for garnish

Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes.

Take half of the sliced citrus fruit and add to a large pitcher. Add mint too. Pour in 1 can of ginger ale.

Add in the bottle of wine.

Stir and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.

When ready to serve, lightly dampen the rim of your glasses with a slice of orange. With the sugar + cinnamon mixture on a plate, turn your glass upside to coat the rim. Garnish the glass with the remaining citrus slices and mint and CHUG-A-LUG!!!
