cream cheese frosting

 

This basic cream cheese frosting is perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes, and all those sweet tooth cravings. 

2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, at room temperature

1 stick butter, at room temperature

2 cups confectioners’ sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

 

In a large bowl with a hand mixer, blend together cream cheese and butter. Continue blending for 3 minutes. 

Add sugar and vanilla and blend on medium speed.
